Service Specific Terms - Telco

Last updated: October 23, 2026

These Service Specific Terms - Telco ("Telco Terms") form part of the Getcontact Terms of Service and apply when you enable, access, purchase or use any Telco Service. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.

BY ENABLING, ACCESSING, PURCHASING OR USING ANY TELCO SERVICE, OR BY CLICKING “AGREE”, “CONTINUE” OR ANY SIMILAR CONFIRMATION, YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND ACCEPTED THESE TELCO TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THESE TELCO TERMS, YOU MUST NOT ENABLE, ACCESS, PURCHASE OR USE TELCO SERVICES.

This Telco Terms is prepared in English language. This Telco Terms and all of its provisions may be translated into any language other than English, provided that the English text prevails in the event of any execution, interpretation, controversy or judgment.

1. Eligibility, Acceptance and Incorporated Policies

1.1 Telco Services are intended only for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years old and have legal capacity to contract in their jurisdiction of residence and use. You must not use Telco Services on behalf of any minor, person lacking legal capacity or person who is prohibited from using the Services by applicable law.

1.2 The Getcontact Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy, Cookie Policy, Getcontact Terms and any feature-specific notices, instructions, FAQs, order confirmations or policies published in the Application are incorporated by reference. A breach of those documents, policies or instructions is deemed a breach of these Telco Terms.

1.3 You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable telecommunications, data privacy, consumer-protection, ePrivacy, call-recording, call-screening, consent, interception, export-control and other local, national and international laws in every location where you access, activate, route, forward, receive, record, screen or otherwise use Telco Services. You must not use Telco Services where such use would be unlawful, restricted, require a registration, authorisation or licence that Getcontact does not hold, or expose Getcontact or its providers to legal, regulatory or network risk.

2. Scope of Telco Services

2.1 Telco Services may include Global Calls, call forwarding, conditional forwarding, missed-call notifications, out-of-service notifications, busy-line notifications, voicemail, Assistant Service, AI Assistant, Call Assistant, Custom Prompts, Chatty Auntie or similar AI persona features, hidden-number display where available, flight-mode answering where available, spam detection, call management and Call Recorder where enabled.

2.2 Feature scope varies by country, operator, device, operating system, app version, subscription tier, provider capability and local law. We may add, remove, restrict or modify Telco Services at any time. A reference to a feature does not mean that the feature is active, available or supported for every user.

2.3 "Family Protection" has the meaning given in the Terms of Service. To the extent Family Protection enables remote call-management functionality, that functionality forms part of the Telco Services governed by these Telco Terms.

2.4 "Global Calls" has the meaning given in the Terms of Service and forms part of the Telco Services. It enables outbound voice calls over an internet connection through third-party telecommunications providers to supported mobile and fixed-line destinations. Global Calls is available only in enabled territories, to eligible accounts and for destinations shown in the Application, subject to device, network, provider and legal restrictions. The emergency-calling limitations in Section 12 apply to Global Calls.

2.5 Calls placed through Global Calls use caller ID numbers selected from a shared pool made available by Getcontact or its providers. The displayed number may change between calls and is not assigned exclusively to you. Global Calls does not grant ownership, retention or portability rights in a pool number and is separate from the Second Phone Number Services. It does not provide you with a dedicated incoming-call or messaging service, and you should not rely on a recipient being able to call or message you back on the displayed number. Caller ID display and call completion remain subject to receiving-network restrictions. Use of a pool number does not guarantee anonymity.

2.6 The restrictions in Sections 18 and 19 apply to Global Calls. You must not manipulate caller ID, use pool numbers to impersonate another person or evade recipient blocking, or create multiple accounts or otherwise circumvent calling allowances. We may apply proportionate call-duration, frequency and concurrency limits to prevent abuse.

3. Licensed Intermediaries and No Carrier Status

3.1 Telco Services are provided through licensed intermediary service providers, telecom operators, aggregators, numbering providers, infrastructure providers and other third parties. Getcontact is not a mobile network operator, fixed-line operator, carrier or emergency-services provider.

3.2 Getcontact does not control operator networks, call forwarding, voicemail systems, USSD activation, device dialler behaviour, hidden-number disclosure, SMS/MMS routing, network availability, carrier charges or provider policies.

4. Third-Party Provider, Operator and App-Store Terms

4.1 Your use of Telco Services may also be subject to operator rules, provider acceptable-use policies, app-store rules, payment-provider terms, device manufacturer terms, network limitations and third-party service terms. Getcontact does not control, review, endorse or assume liability for third-party terms, third-party networks, third-party applications, third-party materials, operator charges or provider decisions.

4.2 Where Telco Services involve links, instructions, codes, carrier settings, dialler interfaces, app-store flows, support pages or third-party destinations, you access and use them at your own risk and are responsible for reviewing the applicable third-party terms and privacy notices; and you are responsible to take any necessary further actions to fully activate services.

5. Availability and Country Restrictions

5.1 Telco Services are available only in countries, operators and devices supported by Getcontact from time to time. Availability may be changed, suspended or withdrawn without liability to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. If you purchase or activate Telco Services from an unsupported country, operator or device, you are responsible for checking compatibility before purchase and activation. Refunds are governed exclusively by the Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy.

6. Registration, Activation, Compatibility and Account Information

6.1 To access, activate, restore or use certain Telco Services, you may be required to register, maintain an active Getcontact account, provide accurate account, device, number, country, billing, tax, payment, operator or identity information, and complete account, payment, device, anti-fraud, sanctions, eligibility or provider verification.

6.2 Getcontact may request additional information, documentation or verification at any time to confirm eligibility, prevent abuse, satisfy provider requirements, comply with applicable law or manage operational risk. Failure to provide requested information may result in delayed provisioning, restricted functionality, suspension, cancellation or termination without refund except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

6.3 You must maintain compatible hardware, software, operating-system versions, Application versions, permissions, network access and an active internet or mobile connection as required for the relevant Telco Service. Telco Services may be affected by device capabilities, device settings, firewall restrictions, blocked ports, carrier restrictions on VoIP or call forwarding, OS limitations, app-store rules, roaming, permissions, network coverage, country of origin and provider requirements. Getcontact does not warrant compatibility with any specific device, operator, configuration or jurisdiction.

6.4 You are responsible for keeping your credentials, device, account, authentication codes and access tokens secure and you are responsible for implementing all necessary technical measures to keep your security up-to-date. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, all activity conducted through your account, device, number, prompts, permissions or Telco settings is deemed your activity and directly attributable to you. Any and all legal responsibility, obligations, or liabilities that may arise, directly or indirectly, from the utilization of such service is borne exclusively and entirely by you, without recourse to the provider.

6.5 You must keep all registration, billing, country, number and contact information accurate, complete and current. Notices, service alerts, compliance requests and other communications sent to the latest contact details associated with your account, or shown in the Application, are deemed validly provided to you.

7. Call Forwarding and User Configuration

7.1 To use certain Telco Services, you may need to activate conditional or unconditional call forwarding, voicemail redirection, default-call-manager permissions, microphone permissions, notification permissions, contact permissions, SMS/MMS permissions or similar settings. You are solely responsible for configuring, maintaining and disabling call forwarding and operator-level settings.

7.2 If you stop using Telco Services, cancel your subscription, delete the Application, change your number, change your device, lose access or stop using Getcontact, you must separately disable call forwarding and related activation through the Application instructions, FAQs, operator codes or operator support. If you do not deactivate forwarding, calls may continue to route to Getcontact or a provider even though you cannot access results. Getcontact is not responsible for continued forwarding, missed calls, lost voicemail, misdirected calls, inaccessible outputs, charges or data processing caused by your failure to disable settings.

8. Assistant Service, AI Assistant, Call Assistant and Custom Prompts

8.1 The Assistant Service may answer forwarded calls when you are unreachable, busy, out of service or do not answer; ask pre-recorded or AI-generated questions; receive caller responses; create assistant dialogues, voicemail, summaries or transcripts; and make outputs available in Getcontact. The Assistant may screen, route, classify, summarise or otherwise manage calls on your behalf based on your settings, default scenarios, AI outputs, caller responses, Custom Prompts and system rules.

8.2 AI Assistant and Call Assistant outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misleading, inappropriate, unavailable or fail entirely. They may misunderstand callers, misclassify spam, route calls incorrectly, send calls to voicemail, mishandle important calls or fail to notify you. You use them at your own risk.

8.3 You are solely responsible for Custom Prompts, call-management instructions and preferences. Valid commands may be stored in a personal memory assigned to you and used to route calls based on your preferences, default scenarios or periodic memory summaries. Incorrect, ambiguous, unlawful or unsuitable prompts may produce unintended call outcomes. Sample prompts are illustrative only and are not legal, compliance or operational advice.

9. Voicemail, Assistant Dialogues, Transcripts and Summaries

9.1 Where enabled, callers may leave voicemails or interact with the Assistant. Getcontact or its providers may record, transcribe, summarise, store and make available voicemail, assistant dialogues, call metadata and related outputs as described in the Privacy Policy. Access may require an active subscription or active Telco setting. Transcripts, summaries and call details may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed or unavailable. You must not rely on them as complete records or legal evidence, and you should preserve any messages or outputs you need before expiry.

10. Call Recorder

10.1 Where Call Recorder is available and enabled, it may automatically record incoming and outgoing GSM calls according to the technical rules displayed in the Application. Requirements and limitations may include default call-manager status, permissions, audible announcements, maximum recording durations, disabled hold or conference functions, restricted download capability and storage only in the Application.

10.2 You are solely responsible for confirming that recording is lawful in your jurisdiction and the caller's jurisdiction, and for providing notices and obtaining consents where required. Getcontact disclaims liability for unlawful, unauthorised, undisclosed or non-compliant recording by you. Call recording may fail, be incomplete, be inaudible, be unavailable, be deleted, be inaccessible or be technically restricted. You should not rely on Call Recorder for legal, safety-critical, evidentiary, professional or compliance purposes.

11. Notifications, Hidden Number, Flight Mode, Spam Detection and Chatty Auntie

11.1 Busy-line, phone-off, offline and out-of-service notifications depend on operator signals, mobile data, device settings, notification permissions and provider support. Hidden-number display is country/operator dependent, may require rejecting a private call where supported, and may be unavailable, inaccurate or prohibited by law in some markets. Flight-mode answering requires internet connectivity and operator/device support and may fail or be unavailable without notice.

11.2 Spam detection may analyse call metadata, initial seconds or audio features of incoming calls, user reports, patterns or other signals to identify possible spam or fraud. It is probabilistic and may produce false positives or false negatives. Chatty Auntie or similar AI persona features may interact with callers identified as spam or unwanted; legitimate calls may be misclassified, redirected, delayed, mishandled or lost. You activate and use these features at your own risk.

11.3 Where Family Protection is available, a member who has joined the relevant group and enabled the required permissions may authorise the group administrator to receive a notification when an incoming call is classified as spam, view the relevant caller number and, where technically supported, send a remote instruction to terminate that call. This authority is limited to the controls expressly presented in the Application and does not permit the administrator to listen to, record or access call content or otherwise control the member's account, device or communications.

11.4 Family Protection call handling depends on spam-classification accuracy, device and operating-system permissions, network/operator capability, notification delivery and other technical conditions. A spam classification or group spam-list entry may be wrong, and a legitimate or important call may be blocked, delayed or terminated. The member remains responsible for enabling, reviewing and disabling the feature, may leave the group through available controls, and must maintain independent means to receive emergency and safety-critical communications. Getcontact is not responsible for a missed, interrupted or terminated call except to the extent liability cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

12. No Emergency Services

12.1 Telco Services do not provide access to emergency services and must not be used for emergency communications. You must maintain a separate mobile, fixed-line or other service capable of contacting emergency services.

12.2 The Service does not provide access to any emergency calling capability, including but not limited to 911, 112, 999, 000, or their equivalents in any jurisdiction. The Service is not intended or suitable for placing or receiving calls to/from emergency services, public safety answering points, law enforcement, fire departments, medical response units, or other similar agencies. You must maintain alternative means of communication capable of placing and receiving emergency calls. You acknowledge and agree that Getcontact shall have no liability for any inability to access emergency services via the Service.

13. Telecom Charges and Operator Fees

13.1 Your operator or provider may charge call forwarding, voicemail, USSD, roaming, SMS, data, hidden-number, international routing, network or other fees. Getcontact does not control those charges, does not receive them and is not responsible for them. You are solely responsible for checking operator fees and paying them.

13.2 For Global Calls, the Application will specify the applicable calling allowance, eligibility, supported destinations, validity or renewal period, usage-measurement rules, treatment of unused allowances and any charges before activation or use. Calls may be restricted or ended when the relevant allowance or limit is reached. Allowances are personal, non-transferable and have no cash value. Exhaustion of an allowance does not itself authorise a charge: any paid or additional usage requires prior disclosure of the charges and your agreement. Payments, cancellation and refunds are governed by the Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy. Material changes to an existing entitlement remain subject to required notice and non-waivable consumer rights.

14. Third-Party Consent and Local Law

14.1 You are solely responsible for complying with all laws applicable to Telco Services, including call recording, call forwarding, call screening, AI disclosure, telecom, privacy, consumer-protection, ePrivacy, consent and interception laws. You represent that you have all rights and consents required to allow Getcontact and its providers to process caller information, call metadata, voicemail, recordings, transcripts, prompts, AI instructions and related data. Getcontact does not undertake to verify whether you have obtained consent from callers or call participants.

15. Data and Privacy

15.1 Telco data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy, including call metadata, call status, call duration, caller numbers, called numbers, voicemail, recordings, transcripts, summaries, AI outputs, call assistant memory, prompts, device data and operator information. We may share Telco-related data with licensed intermediaries, telecom operators, numbering providers, AI providers, hosting providers, fraud-prevention providers, support providers, regulators and law enforcement where necessary or permitted.

16. Monitoring, Investigation and Enforcement Cooperation

16.1 Getcontact may monitor, review, investigate, preserve and analyse Telco Service usage, call metadata, routing data, recordings, transcripts, prompts, outputs, account activity, traffic patterns, complaints, chargebacks and fraud signals where necessary or permitted for service operation, abuse prevention, security, compliance, legal requests, provider cooperation, regulatory response or enforcement.

16.2 If Getcontact receives a complaint, legal request, provider notice, operator notice, app-store notice, regulator inquiry, law-enforcement request or abuse report relating to your Telco Services, Getcontact may suspend or restrict the relevant feature, preserve evidence, disclose relevant information to providers, operators, app stores, payment providers, compliance providers, regulators, law enforcement or affected third parties, and cooperate without prior notice where permitted or required by law.

17. Service Availability and Provider Dependency

17.1 Telco Services may be unavailable, delayed, degraded, blocked or interrupted due to operator restrictions, provider failures, network outages, device incompatibility, OS restrictions, permission denial, internet issues, app-store rules, maintenance, fraud controls, regulatory requirements or events beyond our control. We may suspend Telco Services without notice for maintenance, security, provider issues, abuse, legal risk, regulatory requests, operator requests, fraud prevention or technical reasons.

18. Prohibited Uses

18.1 You must not use Telco Services for commercial traffic aggregation, A2P campaigns, robocalling, mass calling, telemarketing, harassment, fraud, phishing, impersonation, spoofing, unlawful recording, unlawful surveillance, telecom bypass, traffic pumping, carrier abuse or any use that could expose Getcontact or providers to legal, regulatory or network risk.

19. Mass-Calling, Spam and Network Abuse

19.1 Getcontact may restrict, block, rate-limit, suspend or permanently terminate Telco Services without refund if it detects or reasonably suspects mass calling, automated or scripted calling, predictive dialing, spam, telemarketing, caller-ID spoofing, VoIP bypass, traffic pumping, artificial traffic generation, fraud traffic, harassment, carrier abuse, network abuse or any usage that may trigger provider blocking, operator complaints, regulatory inquiries, app-store action or reputational harm.

19.2 You are solely responsible for ensuring that any calls, recordings, messages, prompts, AI interactions and call-management instructions comply with all applicable consent-based calling rules, do-not-call requirements, consumer-protection laws, privacy laws, telecommunications rules, carrier registration or verification obligations and equivalent rules in each applicable jurisdiction, including where relevant the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and Federal Communications Commission rules in the United States.

19.3 Getcontact may require documentation of consent, lawful basis, caller notification, campaign registration, intended use, traffic source, recipient relationship, business identity or other compliance evidence before provisioning or restoring Telco Services. Remaining credits, benefits, subscription value or service access may be withheld or offset to cover fraud-related costs, penalties, chargebacks, provider claims or damages, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

20. Sanctions, Export Controls and Restricted Jurisdictions

20.1 You represent and warrant that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, accessing Telco Services from, or routing Telco Services through any jurisdiction or territory subject to comprehensive trade sanctions, embargoes or similar restrictions, and that you are not listed on any sanctions-related restricted-party list maintained by the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States or other applicable authorities.

20.2 You must not export, re-export, provide, route, resell, transfer, make available or use Telco Services in violation of any applicable export-control, sanctions, anti-boycott, anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing or similar law. Getcontact and its providers, app stores, merchants of record and payment processors may reject, suspend, cancel or refuse any transaction, service delivery, replacement, credit or refund if doing so could expose any party to a violation or compliance risk.

21. Risk Disclosure

21.1 Telco Services may degrade, fail, become inaccurate or become temporarily or permanently unavailable during network congestion, high demand, maintenance, software updates, firewall restrictions, carrier restrictions, provider outages, regulatory intervention, technological changes, operator configuration changes, app-store policy changes, device changes, OS updates or other network-side or user-side issues.

21.2 The Application, user interface, support materials, country lists, operator lists, activation instructions, compatibility statements, pricing information, feature descriptions and related communications may contain inaccuracies, omissions, outdated information or country/operator-specific limitations. You are responsible for checking the latest in-Application information and preserving any Telco outputs you need before expiry, deletion or loss of access.

21.3 In any dispute with callers, call participants, operators, carriers, providers, app stores, payment providers or other third parties relating to Telco Services, you release Getcontact and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, costs and damages arising out of or relating to that dispute to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

22. Force Majeure

22.1 Getcontact is not liable for any loss, damage, delay, failure, interruption, degradation, unavailability, price change, country closure, feature withdrawal or inability to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, war, riot, labour disputes, civil disturbance, government action, regulatory orders, sanctions, power failures, internet backbone failures, mobile-network failures, operator failures, cloud-service failures, app-store failures, payment-gateway failures, equipment failures, software failures or large-scale telecommunications outages.

22.2 Provider actions, including abrupt cost increases, loss of connectivity, service withdrawal, country-level shutdowns, number or routing changes, regulatory orders affecting providers, operator blocking, carrier filtering, provider policy changes and loss of upstream services, are included among events that excuse or suspend performance to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

23. No Warranties, Liability and Indemnity

23.1 Telco Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties regarding availability, accuracy, legality of your use, call routing, call forwarding, voicemail, notifications, hidden-number display, spam detection, recordings, transcripts, AI behaviour, compatibility and provider performance.

23.2 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Getcontact is not liable for inaccurate caller ID, spam classification, AI output, call routing, call forwarding, transcription, recording, missed calls, mishandled calls, misdirected calls, unavailable calls, delayed notifications, emergency-call failures, operator failures, provider failures, user misconfiguration, carrier fees or failure to disable forwarding.

23.3 You indemnify Getcontact for claims, complaints, fines, losses and damages arising from your Telco Services use, including third-party caller claims, consent failures, unlawful recording, telecom claims, regulatory complaints, operator fees, misuse and failure to disable forwarding.

24. Amendment, Assignment, Severability and Waiver

24.1 Getcontact may amend, update, replace or withdraw these Telco Terms or any Telco Service at any time. The latest version published in the Application, on the website or otherwise made available by Getcontact applies to all use after its effective date. Continued use of Telco Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

24.2 You may not assign, transfer, sublicense or delegate any right or obligation under these Telco Terms without Getcontact’s prior written consent. Getcontact may assign or transfer any or all rights and obligations under these Telco Terms, the Telco Services or related provider arrangements without your approval or consent.

24.3 If any provision of these Telco Terms is held invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, lawful and enforceable, and the remainder of these Telco Terms will remain in full force and effect.

24.4 Any failure or delay by Getcontact to exercise any right, remedy, power or privilege under these Telco Terms does not operate as a waiver of that right, remedy, power or privilege, and any single or partial exercise does not preclude any further exercise.

25. Language and Notices

25.1 These Telco Terms are drafted in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only. In the event of conflict, inconsistency or ambiguity between the English version and any translated version, the English version governs and will be used in legal, administrative and regulatory proceedings to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

25.2 Getcontact may provide notices, service alerts, legal notices, compliance requests and other communications by email to the latest email address associated with your account, by in-Application message, push notification, website notice or other reasonable electronic means. Notices are deemed received when sent, posted or made available. You must keep your contact details current.

26. Governing Law

26.1 These Telco Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject only to mandatory consumer-law rights that cannot be waived.
